2025-12-23 04:02:35 +0000 UTCAbout mental health hospitals, my best friend is a therapist for the largest chain of mental health hospitals in the US and B O Y howdy are you right. My friend does a wonderful job and her clients are always extremely appreciative, but its all about profit for the hospital. For one, they're deeply understaffed so each therapist has way too large of a caseload. Therapeutic tools like art, games, and even just sharing about your (aka the therapist's) own experiences are heavily discouraged/ They used to have sessions with family when applicable but just eliminated that, and regardless of the patient's status at the end of their stay, they're outta there. She has been reprimanded and even written up for going the extra mile for her patients. Funnily enough, she gets a lot of hate at this hospital because her office is filled with the artwork her patients have made her while none of the others ever receive any. Her graduation cap even was decorated with the art. I believe people can find healing through all sorts of means, but at least in my experience as well hospitals like this are reallllll low on the list

2025-12-23 01:31:32 +0000 UTCI just noticed that as soon as Jimmy "promised" chuck that he would do clean lawyer work from here on out, Chuck "suddenly" felt a little more normal and ditched the space blanket to go make some coffee. Jimmy seemed to catch wind of that too, which is why I think he was trying extra hard to convince Chuck that he's doing legitimate work. Definitely some guilt involved there on Jimmy's part, I think.
