The man who died was Meas Hughs, he was the family man who loved and bragged about his wife and daughter. He was Roy Mustang’s best friend and supporter and ranked below Roy. The man is this episode is Fuhrer King Bradley the ruler of the country and head of the military.

In his battle with greed it showed an Ouroboros tattoo on his eye. Same tattoo lust, greed, envy and gluttony have. The person trying to kill state alchemists is scar (the guy with the X on his forehead)

2025-11-22 21:07:01 +0000 UTCI would LOVE a live stream to talk about this show! Most of us here who have seen it have probably seen FMAB 10+ times and know it like the backs of our hands. To answer: Bradley never died, they never implied he died, Maes Hughes (dude constantly calling Mustang to talk about his wife and child) is the one who died a few episodes ago (it's a terrible day for rain). I won't spoil anything about Fuhrer Bradley that hasn't already been mentioned but remember the following: 1) they have proof that their government has been involved in researching and creating philosophers stones which can be used to heal or even create human beings, but they mostly used them for weapons. 2) in this episode, the humonculi mentioned that Bradley was created specifically to be the Fuhrer of Amestris and the one in charge of their government, the same government researching the philosopher's stone. Make of that what you will, I really like how they hold off on revealing certain secrets and surprises as long as possible in this story, leaves you hanging but they do a great job of revealing the big secrets only when you need to know, until then you're as in the dark as the characters themselves.
