Tom, per your comments on the one scene,
Takes me back to 1998, and the ensuing discussion we had in French class about what had happened the previous day....
We go to school, hot as hell always in Southern California, we take the bus back home, grandma prepares food for us as we go try to cool down and watch our afternoon cartoons...
All the time back then, all the time at least once a week, they would interrupt the programming in all channels to "livestream" broadcast the latest car chase. Fair enough, from our apartment, next to a 91 freeway exit, cars to go off and crash ALL THE TIME. we always had a good view of things from our balcony, as children we found it fascinating.
Except one time too many children had their cartoons interrupted, once AGAIN, for the latest chase nonsense, the same old, same old as before, right? This guy stopped at an overpass in a truck with his dog, pointing his loaded shotgun at passing motorists, and the guy himself called 911, and the police closed it all off in a standoff. The guy unfurled banners on the freeway. Kids everywhere watching, instead of cartoons, The guy complained about HMO's and bureaucracies, and was making a 'circus" as negotiations went on. He threw things off the freeway.
Then, all of a sudden the truck catches fire -he had lighted a Molotov cocktail- with his dog inside, and running out of the truck on fire the guy runs to the overpass, and it looks for a moment like he is going to jump off the bridge, thinks better of it, comes back to his burning truck, retrieves his shotgun and shoots himself in the face.
Children everywhere saw that instead of their usual cartoons. In my French class, classmates would talk about how their little sibling saw it and cried.
I could not believe the amount of blood from the body, not at all like in the movies I thought.
The outrage that followed started the trend of televising car chases with a time delay. And all for "entertainment" and ratings, the equivalent of clicks and views today, the more things change the more they don't, it's just a different flavor.
Look up on Wikipedia the Suicide of Daniel Jones for further details.

Walt likes to give children candy, perhaps? Or sweet drinks or some such? Or have Huell or Saul's men pass out the sweets?
That is pretty endearing, especially around Halloween, can you imagine going trick-or-treating at Walt's house and he is the one giving you candy? 😂

I was in 8th grade, just a year older than my own daughter is now. It’s crazy how they just showed us that footage nonstop all day, then however long we all watched the news with family that night/week/month etc. It seemed impossible to get away from it.

So I know you're not a fan of Walt, but at this point is there any endearing qualities you think he has? Or has he just a completely bad dude now? 😆

I believe Victor was the guy whose throat Gus slit in front of Walt and Jesse. Walt suggested maybe Gus killed him because he got too big for his britches, thinking he could cook without needing Gus, maybe even thinking he was equal to Gus.
In other words, Jesse, Watch. Your. Place.

It's funny seeing how Walt thinks about business, it's the polar opposite of my boss 😂
The company I work for is literally just my boss, me and my 1 colleague. He first started this business around 7 years ago, I've been with him for almost 5 years now and the man has NEVER taken a single penny. The business is his passion project, with animal and human welfare of paramount importance, he would rather put money INTO it than take any out!
Though hopefully very soon we will be doing a lot better and he will finally take a salary - he's more than earned it! Compare that to Walt, who would rather intimidate his way through life than actually work with other people he considers "lesser than".
