Hey all! So while I work on the Cinderella Video, I have also finished a much shorter video to potentially tide people over while I work on this two-and-a-half-hour behemoth. Normally, I would upload this to YouTube, but Studio Ghibli is notorious for copyright striking anything that uses its music. So I am going to upload the temporary music version to google drive while the lovely Molly Noise works on the soundtrack.
In this video, I will be exploring Porco Rosso and the relationship between the real-world history of the Adriatic Sea during the rise of Italian Fascism and the Anti-war themes of Studio Ghibli. Is this film an Antifascist classic that many describe it as? Watch to hear my thoughts on this underrated classic.
