I have also decided to lean into the clickbait title in the hopes that more people can watch this and take the messages of abolishing the police to heart. I will also be Donating all of the revenue from this video when it's publically released to the Marsha P Johnson Institute, an organization devoted to assisting Black Trans kids. Well, I'm sure this won't prove controversial at all.
As we continue our conversation to #defundthepolice, I wish to discuss an often-cited exception to the idea that "All Cops are Bad", Brooklyn 99. This video is not meant to belittle or degrade anyone who enjoys this show or to attack the showrunners and cast, but instead, highlight the ways that the 99 still reinforces the harmful practices and ideologies that are emblematic to our law enforcement.
