Invincible is really good and making you feel for characters like Nolan and Conquest who are actively doing terrible things. When he gives his “lonely” speech I genuinely feel bad for him even tho he’s killing thousands. Can’t wait for season 4

2025-09-14 13:27:03 +0000 UTCCecil wasn’t waiting for the fight to finish. You aren’t giving these guys enough credit 😂 do you have any idea how hard it is to intercept a fight between viltirmites? They move so insanely fast and the only reason we know what’s happening is because the show slows down the action for us to be able to understand what’s happening. The time they teleported in to save Oliver was because the fight had stalled long enough for Cecil to get people ready to help. But that fight was traveling up and down the east coast, and eventually across the ocean. By the time hero’s made it to the pentagon where Cecil could teleport them to Mark, probably only half an hour had gone by. Like it takes time for hero’s to cross the country or at least a couple states just to get to Cecil. They could try to go straight to the fight, but by the time they got there it would probably already be over. Eve was already at the facility so Cecil could send her to help, but the other heroes just barely arrived and the fight had just finished. It was an unexpected event that happened, no one was prepared for it and everyone was still recovering from the stuff that happened last episode. Mark was basically stalling for time even though he was fighting his hardest, because any help he might get would take awhile to arrive, and he knew that. Plus anyone who did show up would probably die, so Mark was going back and forth between trying to survive and trying to protect others. At the end of the day he didn’t have a plan… THAT SAID, give him some credit. You were saying Mark was finished so early in the fight, and at that point he had already done more damage to Conquest than he did to Nolan in season 1. Mark didn’t get lucky, he earned this win. He has gotten so much stronger and faster than we give him credit for, and I was laughing when you thought Oliver would be able to do more than Mark. Oliver is strong against day to day enemies, but he ain’t doing shit to end of season enemies. He wouldn’t even have beaten Angstrom.

Since it doesn’t look like you’re gonna cover Korra, I highly suggest Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood (dubbed) it’s an anime that is very character driven like Last Airbender and Invincible, it touches on Philosophy, Religion, trauma, bonds, politics, history, science ethics and more. FMA Brotherhood is definitely worth the watch there’s tons of therapy in it.
