Something Different - Pages 3 & 4 (on PrimeLeap!)

Hey guys! Next two pages of Something Different are now up! You might notice a bit of a change - I added in a darker border around the panels, which I think I like better. While we can't keep up this two per week page pace, we really wanted to try our best to get this story rolling as quick as we could.

I'm also trying some hand written font this time around. I originally made my own font to avoid any issues with copyright, but it's always looked a bit off. I recently had a friend tell me about kerning with character pairs - something I'd never heard of before, but basically is the set distance between two letters so that they don't look too cramped or far apart. This was what my font was missing and what made it look "off" to me. So I'll have to dig deeper in to how to fix my original font's kerning at some point, but not right now - haha.

Some of you might recognize Flit and Flutter from the Family Matters Bonus Comic (wink, nudge, right here!); I'm glad we got the chance to bring them back in again.

And finally! Because it feels like we just can't go one week without a weather warning... We've got a category 4 Atmospheric River above us. That means tonight/tomorrow we'll be getting anywhere between 100-250 mm of rain... in less than 24 hours. This is the largest amount of rain we've had here in 60 years, so... it's gonna get wet. We've already stocked up on water as with flooding usually comes extra sediment in your water supply and backed up sewers. We're hoping we'll have no internal home flooding, but we'll take it as it comes. Just wanted to let you guys know in case we have any power outages or something crazy happens that I just can't predict right now. For anyone else under this crazy sky river - stay safe! Drink clean water! Please watch out for flooding and erosion.
