Here's the sketch and development work for this month Geovishap just barely won the poll when all the votes from subscribers on discord were added up. This month, with all your support, I've bought several books to help me improve my artwork and storytelling, including: Concept art books from various franchises, to study in my free time and improve my visual language and overall appeal of my work. Informational books explaining topics such as animation and comic book storytelling. Including "Making Comics by Scott McCloud" and "Animator's Survival Kit by Richard Williams" I'm already employing several techniques I've learned in the Genshin comic, and I expect the my level of storytelling to improve drastically over the next few months. My aim is to no longer require a written component alongside the comic, because the written component kind of just means I'm not telling the story right with the comic in the first place. The outfit design is a little simpler this month, I've clustered most of the details around the chest and head and left the midriff, hips and legs as a resting point, to draw attention to them. I'm also continuing to explore with how many panels I can use in the for mat. I know a lot of you like the long strip where the overall background is part of the main image, so I'm splitting the smaller squares up even further and working more story into it. We have an establishing shot this time and I feel like the comic flows better, albeit it has to be read left to right now so I'm unsure how bad that will be for Japanese readers. Overall I'm optimistic for this month's release and I hope it is well received. Please let me know if I can improve this sketch in any way! Thank you for your support!
