Bondage Club Concept

With all the ideas I’ve received, I thought about a concept for the upcoming Bondage Club. Let me know what you think and if you would enjoy playing such a game. It’s an ambitious project that would take quite a while to code.
The Big Picture:
I could build the Bondage Club on a new game engine, separated from the previous game. It would be an open ended BDSM club with no timer and no end. It would be a free game like the Bondage College with maybe some special perks for patrons.
Your character from the Bondage College could be imported or you could start a fresh game from the club. If you import, you would keep your bondage gears and relationship levels, you could also transfer new items acquired in the club back to the college.
To begin, there would be a character creation/customization screen. You could customize your body size, skin color, eye color, hair style & color, etc. Maybe also select your stats and skills in an RPG fashion. And maybe allow male characters.
There would be no saving or loading, everything you do would be stored on a server. You would need to log with a user name and password. You could create multiple accounts to have multiple characters.
It would be single player friendly. You could meet randomly generated club members & owners that gives quests, can be kidnapped or try to kidnap you. You could also meet fully coded non-random NPC such as Sarah & Sophie, like in the college.
It would be multiplayer friendly. You could meet other players to restrain, have sex or simply chat with. You would be able to collar & date other players and check their character profile.
There would be a money system to buy clothes, costumes and bondage gear. Players coming from the college could have free school clothes. You could gain money by doing kinky errands/quests from NPCs.
When you’re restrained, you would need to wait in real time for a player to help you. A NPC could come to rescue you if you’re stuck for too long. When gagged, you would not be able chat with other players, maybe only mumble or mime.
More Content and Ideas:
I could create a reputation system in between the players to know the bullies, the sex-addicts, the Dommes, the subs, the slaves, etc. Players could rate each other and gain titles. There could be a club billboard to list top players, maybe elect club managers or Head Mistress.
If you raise in the club hierarchy, you could be paid by the club to manage it and give quests to newer players, so the money keeps turning. Club managers could build their own room in the club and buy kinky furniture, cages, beds or even traps.
There could be a fighting/kidnapping mechanism in between players and NPCs (Rock-Paper-Scissor like? RPG like with stats and levels? Action beat-em up style?) Maybe some way to stalk other players and kidnap them.
A skill system could be used in different ways. High rope mastery bondage would take longer or make it impossible to struggle out. High quality cuffs would need a high level of lockpicking. Fighting skills could help you in battles. A stealth skill could be used to stalk and kidnap, etc.
That’s it!
I know it’s a big project. Let me know if you would enjoy playing such a game, if you think it will fail and if you have more ideas to add.

Exactly, and since I've never tried that before, it could become a huge headache. That's why I probably won't go on the "beat-em up" route. Most people seems to prefer RPGs anyway. Maybe include a more interactive side later on when some other parts are working fine. Thanks!

Some technical stuff from my side:
The first step to manage latency would be to move the static files to a CDN. Right now you are serving all the image assets from your own server, this is both slow and expensive. That could also eliminate the need for separate American and Europe servers (if the CDN provides them for you)
The biggest challenge with a truly "interactive" game is synchronization, not the message passing mechanism itself. Writing a socket.io broadcasting server is trivial, maintain a consistent view on both (or more) sides of an interaction is hard. Imagine this time sequence:
1. Player A encounters player B, which has her hands tied up but legs free
2. Player A chooses to tie up player B's legs
3. Player B chooses to walk away
If player A and the server receive/perform the actions in 1-2-3, while player B goes 1-3-2, what should player B see?
(a). She walks away successfully, then suddenly the time rolls back, and her legs are tied up
(b). Player B chooses "walk away", after a long time out (many seconds), her action failed and her legs are tied up.
Neither is very satisfying for player B. Besides, for (a) you need to implement a roll-back mechanism, for (b) you need to implement complex and error-prone timeout mechanisms on both the client and the server.
Nowadays many successful multiplayer games choose to avoid this mess by making the interaction as one-sided as possible, like Clash of Clans and Hearthstone.

I haven't got that far in my reflection yet. I'll start by coding the consensual stuff first where submissive players allow themselves to be tied up. But for players that wants to kidnapped or be kidnapped I certainly need a fun mechanism where everyone has a chance to win. Maybe a mix of stat and random luck. Or a mix of stat and a mini game to help you win. I'll have to do a Patreon survey when I get there :) Thanks for you comments!

Game stuff - For now I'm not going to focus on community aspects(ranking, kidnapping, shop,...) but on the on the Gameplay itself. How two players combat/interact with each other and with the Game(NPC's). All multiplayer games have to have a way for newcomers to to be able to enjoy the game while simultaneously rewarding hardcore fans and making them feel like a bad-ass at "the game".
If you make it stats/level based, how are "noobs" ever going to beat a hardcore player who has all skills maxed?
If you make it RNG how is the hardcore player ever going to feel 'special'?
I have no idea how to solve this, and for that matter I don't think anybody does. Usually you see some combination of both(level & rng) combined with something else like a good MatchMaking system or Perfect Imbalance is added.
Maybe the Action beat-em up style would be best where players could progress to competent levels(learn moves, raise ropeSkill,...) by playing against NPC's, and when they reach a certain stage(ie. they can beat Jennifer 5 times in a row and ropeSkill and Lockpicking is minimum 6) then they can battle other people.
Of course I assume you care about this aspect. You can always make it unfair and focus on other parts, so you make it skill based and only the best triumph and a noob will never "win". Or maybe you want it to be over as quick as possible so you can get to the "good stuff" so it doesn't matter who wins and make it completely RNG.

Thanks a lot! Yeah, the multiplayer part will be the biggest challenge here. I'm still not sure how I'll be able to do it. Maybe query a PHP page that reads and writes in a MySQL Server where everything is stored and returns JSON packets to my javascript. I'm curious to check the NodeJS stuff also. I'll try to post separately on different topics. So here it goes.
Technical stuff - I haven't looked much of your code but it looks like basic JavaScript drawing on one main html canvas. It is all client side(front-end) code. For that you don't need any server side(back-end) coding and you just needed a simple web site hosting solution. That won't be the case for MultiPlayer. You are going to need to write back-end code. There are many options for back-end development like PHP, ASP, Ruby, Python, NodeJs,... If you are comfortable with JavaScript take a look at NodeJs, it's server side JavaScript and has many frameworks to get you started. Another thing you are probably going to need is a better hosting solution. I have no idea what you have now, so I'm guessing it's a simple Web Site Hosting which doesn't allow for your own server.
When you pick a solution I would recommend to try and build a simple ChatRoom for players. It should be fairly easy and you should get a hang of writing client1->server->client2, and if you don't like the solution you're not committed enough and it should be easy to change it.
All of this assumes you are staying on web based solutions. You could always switch to Unity, you can write in C# or UnityScript(Javascript with a bit more functionality that is later compiled). And it does have a web-plugin so you can compile it to run on a browser.

I have no idea how I'll code multiplayer yet, it's an unknown territory for me. It would certainly be easier to interact with other players if the game plays them but it's less "interactive"

Yeah, the multiplayer part is what scares me the most cause I'm in unknown territories. For the project scale, it should be faster to code than the full bondage college but it will certainly take quite a while. If my Patreon Account becomes more popular I could stop my regular job but it's not possible right now.

Simplified multiplayer: player A can only interact with player B's character if B is currently logged off. That fits better in a traditional web model (no need of push notification / websocket).

Battle mechanism suggestion: hogtie race like in the earlier web comic, or hop race :)
And maybe bondage wack-a-mole. Each failure adds random bondage, which affects wacking / movement speed, game ends when wacking becomes impossible (blindfolded, tied to a pillar, hogtied and gagged, etc.)

Id say you should start off making it single player. Love your idea overall but id say you should slow down. Dont let your dreams get ahead of yourself. Start with the single player. Then make it multiplayer later on. Especially when your more experienced

Such a game would be really nice to have but everything sounds too complex to set up. You probably need a lot of time to create it when you are doing it as a hobby activity. If you know yandere simultor then you might see how long it can take to build up a complex and balanced game cause it's since 2014 in development

The idea is interesting, but I think it's best to start small. Too much character customization can be a real hell to handle all the possibilities. Start with just the single player default character an keep adding stuff little by little

Would this game be fun? Absolutely. But think back on how long it's taken to build Bondage College as it is right now, and then consider that this is a significantly more complex project. This is the sort of thing I personally would only embark on once this Patreon can fund your work full-time or allow you to hire another person to work alongside you. I don't think it's realistic to accomplish in any short amount of time as one person working part time as a hobbyist, and you might risk the Patreon support that you have by taking such a long time to get to something playable. I think it would be something to aspire to long-term, for sure, but it might be biting off a bit more than you can chew to start it right now.
