Kinda weird to me they teased this fight between Reacher and Russo all season, like Reacher and the pie in Season 1, then he just gets killed and theres never any resolution to that. Did the actor have to drop out of the show or something? Just felt like his death was written in mid filming and they made changes to the script, cause i don't get why they teased that fight if he was getting killed. Then we don't even get to really see Reacher react to his death, he just mentions it very nonchalantly in this ep "A good guy was killed last night" with no emotion at all for him.
