September Update

Greetings, perverts and pervettes.

So, this morning as I was prepping a scene list of renders to prepare, and while my render PC was chugging along on an animation I smelled burning plastic. My monitor went black, then, when I tried to hard reboot the PC it rang out the dreaded beep code that told me it didn’t have a working video card in the PCIE slot.

RIP to my RTX 3080. You will be missed. 2021-2025.

Since the beginning of the new year I’ve been seeing a steady increase in supporters. To everyone helping me keep the lights on:

A year ago this might have been a serious problem that would delay me by weeks or even months. Right now it’s an annoyance, but I’ll live. I’ve already pulled the 3060 I’ve kept in my gaming PC, put it in my render PC and it’s chugging along on the same animation again, just a little bit slower. I’ve been in the process of overhauling my workflow already for the last few months, but I was delaying on replacing my dog-eared old video card (she has been rendering away probably 50% of the time since I bought her, no exaggeration) because I suspect that there’s going to be a glut of GPUs formerly targetted at AI systems flooding onto the market in the medium term future. Oh well. I guess I won’t get as much of an upgrade as I might want.

As it stands I’m at work on Live in Corruption v2.6.0. This update will be a little bit weird because the last few updates I’ve settled into this cycle where one release I’ll focus on Megan and the university, and the next I’ll focus on Susan and the office. This update is focusing on the original side girls, Ami, Stacy and Monica. The main thing will be building out a little more interactivity in the world and adding new locations. There will be more to do at the original Library, the shelter, and at two more locations (one is going to be more plot based, but one will have at least a few adult scenes). Those will probably be the last new locations added into LIC. There will still be a little bit of content with Susan and Megan but I want a satisfying chunk for the original side girls before I start to figure out how to wrap things up for good.

I’ll give an update on content (and some screenshots) when I’m a little bit deeper in, probably in a couple weeks. Expect the update on my normal timetable (roughly the last week of the month).
