August Update

Greetings perverts and pervettes.

Sorry that I haven’t posted my monthly update yet. I like to keep my fans in the loop for what I’ve been working on but that didn’t happen until just now for various reasons. Summer is always busy for me, oh well.

But I can say that work continues apace on Live in Corruption v2.5.0. For the last couple updates in the background I’ve been refactoring one of the ways I keep track of scenes the player has seen to make it easier to track and provide hints for. That work is finally coming together for this version. The practical upside for this is that I’m reworking the status screen and it will provide more and better granular data. But that’s not what you’re looking forward to in my updates.

Content wise, for the last few updates I’ve been switching off between primarily Megan updates and primarily Susan updates. This update is a primarily Susan update. That means along with Susan I’ve been updating the other girls who hang around her office: Lindsay, Mavis and Lenore. Susan is getting four new adult scenes, and each of the other girls is getting two more. I think with this update you’ll be able to figure out what direction I’m going for with each of the girls.

Megan is getting three new variants of already existing adult scenes.

For Live in Corruption I have finally hit the point where I see the shape of the whole thing. I’m working toward what I am now convinced is the ending. It’s still a pretty far way away, definitely not until next year some time, and I plan on continuing my monthly updates until I get there. My main gameplay system that will be updated is that I’m going to break the world up into regions and you’ll be able to corrupt them individually. It’s kind of a natural outgrowth of what you do in the house naturally, and of the subplot that already exists at the university, but I’m going to add a few more regions into the world and as you continue to corrupt everyone the world gets more and more corrupted. And this will tie in with the various rival characters I’ve introduced in the last few updates.

The next update will be a bit of a departure. I suppose it will be more of a Megan update, but my main focus will be on the first set of side girls: Ami, Stacy and Monica.

I also want to talk about my long term plans a little bit. There’s new hulabaloo about Steam and Itch.io and their treatment of adult games. I was hoping to update my classic game Harem Camp later this year to eventually put it on Steam. The current situation has made me a little more reluctant to put too much effort into that. I’m still planning on a modest update to Harem Camp, mostly about streamlining the various systems and making it less of a submarine simulator in how complex some of the menus are. I have done more work lately on my other side project, a boomer RPG in a post apocalyptic fantasy setting. It’s starting to shape up and become playable. But both of those are things I have on the back burner when I’m not actively working on new content for LIC. I still expect the Harem Camp update some time before the end of the year, and the first release of the boomer RPG soon after that.

With the end of LIC vaguely in view I have started thinking about what will replace it. I don’t really expect the boomer RPG to be remotely popular. With that said, my brain has been pumping away on ideas. I don’t want to say too much, but I have what I think is a very clever title, and the premise is basically: another dirty old man simulator, but this time planned as a large scale mass corruption game. One of the main problems I ran into with LIC is that it was planned initially as a tiny, small scale thing that became quite popular. Many games have faltered when they try to refactor things and end up in years long cycles. The follow up will be roughly similar in concept and theme to LIC, just built from the beginning with that end in mind.

Anyway, enjoy some of the renders I’ve been plugging away with from LIC v2.5.0.

I'm with a lot of others. It's very disappointing that [very] old bugs have not been fixed!

Please fix the bugs first. They make the game really "modest". It's awesome, but the bugs...
