Hibiscus Blossom Personality and Face Update

Hey all, I did some expression practice this morning.

I decided to adjust her back story and breathe some soul and life into our favorite hyena. I decided to include some faults and bring her back down to earth with the rest of us, I've gotten tired of the whole bad girl, hyper sexual personality. I'm focusing on making her into a person with flaws, to make her more relatable, like she could exist somewhere in this big wide world. She's still for the most part the same, and I've just added things that I think deepen her as a character.

She's twenty years old.

She still has the same high sex drive

And still has that same smell about her.

Her back story is still mostly the same, her family is broke and she lives in a trailer park in a small town in the Ozarks, still hammering out the details on the location, but I'm thinking an old mining town of some sort. Rather than being a cheesy, country girl escaping to the city, she's now true and through, stinky, hyena trailer trash. I mean this in the best way possible and by no means am I looking to paint the place she lives in a negative way. Rather I want to depict a neighborhood that has very wide range of diverse personalities, anthropomorphic characters, values and beliefs. The trailer park, like most trailer parks I imagine are filled with a diverse range of people and that will be reflected in her environment. While there will certainly be a subset of creepy residents who indulge in criminal behavior, they will be mostly a well known minority of residents within the town. The idea is that Hibiscus is in a town full of people she's known her whole life, the good, the bad and the ugly. I want to portray a town that is similar to real life, but filled with its own little oddities that still make it a place of interest and fantasy. 

The general premise is that Hibiscus never completed highschool, has at best a 10th grade education. But she's found comfort in the people and things she's grown up with. She's a tomboy, she likes retro videogames, rollerskating, comic books and dungeons and dragons, and cute boys who say nice things. She still likes to explore but she's still always likes to return to the place she's called home. She stays in her trailer park in her own quirky little world.

I've added some character flaws, first off she's now missing some teeth, still working on the reason, but I'm thinking its a result of too many falls while roller skating or falling off a bunk bed when she was young. She's now self conscious of both her teeth and her pseudo penis. I've decided to make the pseudo penis an incredibly rare thing to have for her kind, not many people actually know she even has it. I've decided to make her a bit more immature, she turns to butter when people call her pretty, even more so when she's smiling at the time. This tends to get her in trouble with boys who may attempt mislead her often. She's submissive with men that are larger than she is and she's more teasing and domineering toward men that are smaller than her. In terms of sexuality she's very bi-curious. She works at the local "Grub n' Stuff Diner" and has been since she was sixteen. She's drug free, and enjoys beer, wings and strawberries. 

I've also decided to add a bit of background to the whole musk thing, simple as it may be, her house never has hot water or decent soap. Showers are mostly infrequent and she's kind of taken a liking to be "all natural" so to speak. This of course doesn't mean she never showers. We're talking maybe every 3 - 4 days max, she prefers a nice dip in the local pond, maybe a soak in one of those cheap ass plastic kiddy pools outside. She does take good care of her remaining teeth though!

 I've decided to make Wormwood an uncle rather than a brother. I think he's just too old to fill the brother role. 

Side note, I'd like to portray more images of her as if they were a snap shot of an event in her life. That may mean some darker more questionable events along side some wholesome goofy events. But I'm still going to maintain the core of what I do, but add to it over all. Her dungeons and dragons hobby will give us a gateway into a world of true fantasy for NSFW drawings.
