Meet Arnold!
Added 2024-05-10 02:45:52 +0000 UTCThis is my doggo Arnold who I love with all my heart, today we got some sad news that Arnold has heartworm... Arnold was a family members dog until 4 weeks ago when we decided to take him home so he could have a better life. Arnold is 5 years old and has had prevented heart worm tablets before, however a lapse in time or even just bad luck has resulted in the devastating diagnosis. I've never had an animal in my adult life so my heart is heavy while I face the treatment options. What we believe will happen is antibiotics for 1 month to shrink the heartworm and then the shots to kill them. I am hoping treatment goes exactly as planned and there are no hiccups. We can't go on runs until he is clear of the issue and the issue usually takes 6 months to heal.
I was saving and planning to go to Bali in October, I am glad i didn't buy my tickets as of yet because the funds I have saved will be going towards treatments, as well as I will be withdrawing my Patreon Funds for the first time to go towards his initial blood test to start treatment which is required by Monday.
