The Zetsu Mail [July 2023 Edition]
Added 2023-07-04 05:44:06 +0000 UTCHenlo! Welcome to the 5th edition of that one monthly mail that appears on your feed...every, um, every month!
Pride month may be over but never stop being proud of who you are!
We're already in the second half of 2023? Whaaat?! I feel like I age 50 years every time I write one of these...oh well, there's nothing better to do than to take it in stride.
So what have I been up to? Why don't I stream anymore? Those two questions actually have a common answer. I'm actually working on debuting as a VTuber! Now don't worry, this won't impact the channel or patreon at all. It's gonna be a totally separate channel and I'm still not sure if I want to publicly announce it to you guys for privacy reasons. But I've been drawing again and learning how to cut the model up into neat little pieces to chuck into the rigging program, and then learning how to operate the rigging program itself. It's hard, but I'm happy with my progress so far!
It's always good to reflect on what you've achieved from time to time. It's very easy to forget the good and remember the bad, you know? Sometimes life can get very busy too, and you get so caught up in the work that when you finally stop and look up at the world, a lot of time had passed in a blink of an eye and all you could remember from that period is a blur of tasks and chores. There's a saying I'm sure everyone has heard before: "Stop and smell the roses."
What I like to do every year is to recount the major accomplishments and major failures I've experienced that year. What were some of the happiest moments? What were some of the worst moments? By doing so, I wouldn't ever feel like 365 days had passed without me doing anything, right? This goes for every month as well. Especially since I split my audio RP work into monthly chunks, I get to keep tabs on what I want to do at the beginning of every month, keep track of all I need to do every week, and post everything I need to post before the next month begins. Every day is the same, too! When I wake up, I like to take a bit of time to plan out what I want to do that day, and try my best to follow along. I never follow the plan to a tee, but what I do get is structure and purpose. It's so that at the end of the day when I go to bed, I can look back at the day and go, "nice, I did something valuable today."
Nothing feels worse than going to bed knowing that I've accomplished a net value of zero in a given day.
I'm someone of many hobbies so trying to regularly engage in those activities without leaving them by the wayside is a tough thing to maintain, even more so considering there's only so much time and energy I can spend. Even so, regularly checking in on my tasks is a great way to not only keep track, but also feel accomplishment.
This extends to mental health as well! If I notice something off about my schedule or if I notice I've been acting different than usual, most of the time it's my subconscious stress affecting my mental. I genuinely never realise I'm stressed until I take some time to reflect and understand why my day-to-day activities have been different lately. Even if you're generally well-off, I still recommend you check in on yourself regularly! You never know.
I hope this may help at least one of you with something, but I have to iterate that I am not a licensed anything, I'm just a silly goose experiencing life and sharing it to you all <3
Before I announce this month's audio theme, I wanted to ask: Are there any rituals you do to check-in on yourself? I'd love to hear how you guys go around keeping track of yourself!
Drum roll, please! The theme for this month's audios is....gangs. Expect femboy delinquents and effeminate mafia bosses taking good care of you :3
As always, if you're a Couch Council or higher tier, you get to know what the audio titles are gonna be before they come out and get to vote on the release order.
Until next time!

That's actually a pretty good method you have there for keeping track of your wellbeing and your goals, as well as keeping everything in perspective. I could certainly do with more structure in my day to day life outside of work, the feeling that you haven't accomplished anything meaningful definitely brings you down. Good stuff, you've given me something to think about! Hope you're doing well!
