Wow. Epic critque! (makes me think of the classic Red Letter Media takedown of star wars prequels). - it seems like metropolis was designed to be a smug Disneyland. I bet the writers set out to criticize how these pop gods being celebrated with idols and store front designs - but were then asked not to point out their flaws by managers at WB. + Would have been nice for Brainiac to be trying to run the city (instead of setting up blobby things and kill squads after everyone evacuated). Picture his goons trying to run stores or act out daily life. A commentary on how talented people (JLA) rise to power, and then can be subverted by a buyout. Plus, you could have basically slapped in heists from GTAonline. Would have been nice to choose between doing what amanda waller wants, and trying to sneakily steal 100,000 dollars without her noticing.
