Hi everyone,
We bring you a short follow up on this week's developmental highlights. As you're most likely already aware of the majority of what transpired this week, lets quickly fill in the rest of the gaps for you.
We unveiled this week, Gen, an influential commander officer of the Defense Force tasked with keeping Henosis and its denizens safe. He stands firm alongside Kenna in upholding the law and is poised to play an important role in the upcoming saga. To that effect, his CG work, complete with standing art and sprite, has been fully tackled and ready for game deployment. However, his events still need a bit of work to be done so there is a good chance that work might overrun into the next week. Here is to hoping it won't affect the development progress and events of our next character..
Some of you might remember us mentioning in our last few posts that the writers have been working hard on laying the roots down for an entirely new quest. Glad to report the quest is now officially in development with most of the storyline now fully drafted out. There still remains some character related details that need fleshing out, but other than that, we're ecstatic to be ahead of the curve and already working on content beyond the upcoming release. But that doesn't mean we dropped the ball on the slime questline. As the development progressed on the story, some sections were identified as "weak" on delivering the expected punch and were returned to the draft board for revision. Hopefully, what we eventually deliver to your hands will be extensively satisfying!
Following up from the Quest Long, our coder continues with our interface challenges and this time has started coding the framework for a Bestiary! For the unaware, Bestiary is a compendium of beasts, specifically keeping track of their physical and behavioral characteristics. But in the case of VoidBound this special bestiary will do more than just that and cover beasts as well as races of varying origins, keeping track of not only the above but also their strengths/weaknesses, locations and skills! Furthermore, we're tweaking the enemy behavior extensively that will radically change how enemies will interact with Caly under varying circumstances. Stay tuned as we'll showcase this concept more in our next "Slime Chronicle" series!
Till then however, we wish you well and will see you in the next one!
Kind Regards,
Cursed-Atelier Team
