A ton of Garbage!

This is a set of pretty little garbage-piles designed to look like a disgusting spam of tiles and debris. 😂
Much of the specific debris pieces reference my previous releases-- honestly this was a ton of fun to make: I picked out gross little mini-details from a bunch of sets that texture together, and then compiled them in a way that's visually interesting but hopefully doesn't distract from the visibility of the players and navigating the environment.

I've included a couple of (pink-colored) guide tiles in the tileset to help you with alignment. These guides help illustrate how the garbage-piled are arranged in 2x2 tile-clusters. In my example video, I use the 2x2s as sprites centered in the middle and they spawn when the bags are destroyed.
If you don't want to set them up that way, you could also use them as tiles-- like all of my tile add-ons, these are arranged in a regular grid so you can easily add it to any existing tileset or divide them into a sprite-sheet.

By the way-- how are you liking these video previews from the past few weeks?
If you remember my video examples from when the Action RPG Monsters series; those were recorded in a preview project that wasn't necessarily intended to be a full game, but was developed alongside the sprites.
It's time to try my hand at making a full RPG: I'm going to keep the story and characters tight so that I can make use of the world to be an asset playground full of sample zones. That might lead to a bit of of a tonal clash for the game... but we're in it for the love of the art! 😅
It's no secret if you've seen the clips: I've been grindin'. Here's a new page that shows off the progress we have so far!
This is the first time I've posted this page anywhere (other than asking in discord to test it works), so this the first announcement of the (current :P) name of the game I'm working on.
The project is at the point where I can add some types of content pretty quickly: like the recent stream of interactable props (leaves, balls, today's garbage, etc), or potentially new animated or quirky NPCs.
We can use the game to preview new assets, so it can be a dynamic example of how to use them in your own games.
So you might be seeing a lot more of these characters showing off environments in the future. ;)

I'm trying to decide which kind of battle system to use in something I'm working on and it's really tricky choosing the right fit. Did you consider any other systems or was this the one you wanted from the offset? Looking forward to the updates, and the videos are rad!
