Action RPG Monsters Pack Beta Release
Added 2024-10-25 15:59:01 +0000 UTCHello! I have something big to share with you today.

This is the patron beta release for the Monsters pack! I've mentioned this pack before, so today's post shouldn't be a surprise.
Most of the monsters in this collection were originally released as part of this year's Summer of Monsters event. I've also included a selection of monsters that I made for previous patron-request posts. In total this pack has over 20 monsters with a huge variety of animations.
So-- most of the core content will be familiar to patrons. The new content in this pack will be the alternate color variants: there are new recolored schemes for most of the enemies, as well as an alt-palette that's compatible with the Time Fantasy style.
Also: this collection contains a huge PDF guide that I put together which details how to make the best use of the various animations. A lot of the writing in the guide is from the posts that I made during the summer releases-- but of course most of it had to be rewritten for the sake of a full release. This guide took me an entire 8-hour workday to put together, so I hope that it's useful!
You can download the entire collection here:
Reminder: If your browser doesn't like the zip file, copy-paste the URL directly into the address bar.
Please let me know if you find any errors or mistakes, or if anything is missing. I'd really appreciate it, if you find anything that I need to fix before I put it up for a full release-- which I would love to do for Halloween this year...which-- wow, is next week already!
------
Lastly two more things about this pack:
Since I want to release this on Halloween, I'm gonna hold onto the Omega Modern Space Expansion for a bit... it'll probably be a December release now before the holidays. I don't want to overshadow either set by releasing them in the same week, especially because they're distinctly separate styles. So-- the beta version of that pack will remain a patron exclusive for another few weeks :)
I'm still not quite certain what the final name for this pack should be. This whole time I was thinking that it'd just be the Elements monster pack... but these are more versatile... should it be an ActionRPG Monsters pack (compatible with Elements!) or should I stick with the branding for the style?
Let me know if you have any ideas!
Thanks!

That's it for today. Have a great weekend.
See you next week with something new. Thank you!

The marauders 100% the most inspired. Maybe specify which angle works best for which direction as some people might very well be puzzled. They definitely are the Elements monster pack, so I would stick with the style.

Look pretty easy to use in Godot, and even in RPG Maker, it's relatively easy with custom movement routes. About the name, I'd say you should use the words "Action RPG Monsters" somehow, because it's descriptive.
