Elements New Shields

Hello! Today we have another special Elements pre-release for patrons!

Continuing the special pattern for this month's releases, following up on the Elements Gun and the Elements Backpacks-- today we have another new accessory from the upcoming Elements character expansion set.

The original Elements core set included a basic wooden shield. I've decided that a second shield type would be a good idea for the expansion-- and this one comes in a bunch of color variants, designed to match with the different colors available for the armor sets!

This asset has the same animations as the original shield-- it isn't animated for every action (like arms-up doesn't make sense), but should work fine in your game project. Notable: it uses the "bow/nock" animation to hold the shield out front defensively.

Also like the original shield, this one has both right-handed and left-handed animations. It's possible to do some more realistic layering by combining these, though you'll have to do some manual adjustments, because that's beyond the capabilities of the default generator.

You could even potentially turtle up with dual-wielding shields. 😅

If you want to use these with the existing Elements generator, just copy the image files into the 'weapon' folder.
