Tall Grass, Cutting, and Rustling

Hello! I think today's release is a really fun one... at least I hope so!

When I saw the request for grass cutting animation, in the style of the recently-released crate-breaking and ore-mining animations... it reminded me that I've already made something like this...

Since I'm doing a lot of work this week on the Elements tilesets, and also a little busy with some commission stuff-- I thought that this would be a good time to dig out something that I hope you will find useful!

So first off-- forgive me if you've seen these... I DONT THINK that I've released these before-- at the very least, I haven't released all of this together as a set before... they're from an old prototype that you can see in the preview image above.

First up, the grass-cutting animation that you can see above.

Note that this animation sheet has two frames at the beginning of the animation which are not used in the core animation itself. These frames are from an even older version of this grass-cutting idea, and I kept it in because maybe you will find a use for it. The first frame can be used as a tall-grass object in your game world, and the second frame is an impact-flash.

If you just want the grass-falling part (like in my preview above), then you can use the same animation without the first two frames included here.

Next up is another little animation that expands with the set:

In this little recording, you can see where the character is walking through the tall grass, there's a little animation effect that plays over his feet (sorry the preview doesn't show it well, I'm pulling from some old gifs!) 

This is a simple 4-frame "grass rustling" animation that can be used to improve the interactivity in your game world. It's nothing too fancy, but I think that it adds a lot.

Lastly, here is the grass itself which is used in the preview images above. It's very likely that I've released this before somewhere, or included this texture into one of my previous packs LOL-- I've cannibalized this old prototype for parts. 😅 But I don't think that I've shared it directly the way that it is.

Either way-- I figured that it would be useful to include here as a part of this set. With these tiles and the animations above, you can create something like my preview gifs.
