""The descent was one nearly fully comprised of autonomous, thoughtless movements. Little was left of memory, purpose, or motive. Fleeting glances of the rooms at each level barely caught their attention. Nor did they notice their rapidly atrophying bodies, dried and scaling skin, and diminishing mentation.

There was, however, an acceptance. A peace of mind, a resolution to their fate. They could feel the life being slowly siphoned from their bodies, their minds fading. They knew. Just as they knew that the impulses driving their bodies forward were bringing them to the siphon itself, though they knew not what form it took, or what their destination was.

Passing through the labyrinth, their bodies, or the forces that drove them, knew which way to turn, and where to step. What was left of their thoughts barely could make recognition of the glyphs and shrines in each room. It wasn't until their bodies fell through the floor, and came to rest on the remains of those that fell before them, that they understood. This charnel pit was now to be their home, for what remains of them."

Hey all,

So you all seemed to really like the last map so I thought I'd follow it up with the inside of this monolith! This is 4 levels of final boss fun for the whole party.

I've released these as .pngs that can be overlayed the previous map, so you can mix and match the lava exterior with the bloody interior if you want. But I've also included the base version as jpgs for easy use too!

The maze level is deliberately a half square squeeze to slow your pesky players down and means they'll have to fight as a desperate conga line. The last cavern with the bones is meant to be a hidden chamber reached through the middle left coffin on the floor above. There's a light dotted line on the cavern level to indicate this.
