Blue Fast and Bugfixes

Hello everyone! We have some updates for you since the release of Alpha 4.3.

Our next major update, Alpha 5.0, will kick off the main part of the route for Blue Fast and also introduces her old rival, Raging Storm.

One question we have been asked often is whether or not this is the end of Purple's route and the answer is : NO

We just decided that it was time to focus on the other characters for now. We still have many more plans for Purple in the future.  In the meantime we received your feedback on the bugs, and many of them have now been fixed:

It is fantastic I love your game but I have a small problem but it is not the game the game is already perfect The problem is that I am from Mexico and I hardly speak English and I would like you to add Spanish in the settings menu. Can you do that? if they manage to do it, I will share their page and their game with my friends and more people

Great game. The conversations are awesome and detailed and the transitions for animations are pretty great to. I also like the conversation path depending on how you respond. I have nothing to complain about. Keep up the good work

There was some website maintenance going on. It should work now. The Unity WebGl link is here, it is a long download though: https://www.studiowhy.net/PonyWaifuSim/

StudioWhy

could you setup a unity web game?

Gallop Crush

What things are fixed in this version?

JustMarvin123NL

Hmm no x-mas update?

Scrattys

much appreciated

Daniel Collao

They'll be using holidays as release dates.

Lamana

Ok, I love it so far.

Gallop Crush

Yes, that is the latest version. There were a few hotfixes.

StudioWhy

I download it and it says Alpha V4.32

Gallop Crush

Got it thanks.

khalif brown

We are going through each other character first before coming back to Purple.

StudioWhy

Okay. So, how long until either one is ready?

khalif brown

Not yet kbrown, but it won't be the last scene either. We have not yet implemented the next part of the main story that makes use of those ingredients.

StudioWhy

Hey there, StudioWhy. 1. Is there another lewd scene with Princess Twilight Sparkle besides the balcony? 2. How do I give Twilight the items she needs? Please be honest

khalif brown

The download seems to work fine on our end. Do you mean installing it? You need to enable the setting which allows you to install unverified packages on your Android in order to install it.

StudioWhy

Hey Studio Why, I want to download the Android version, but it won't allow me to. Will you please help?

Connor Cluff

That's not a bad idea, Alex! 😄

Connor Cluff

Hey sorry but the download sequence keeps freezing up. Is there a way around this weird error help?

Matt Box

Ah thanks a bunch

Matt Box

Correct. The link is at the bottom of the post.

StudioWhy

Oh cool. Could you link me to it? I don't have an iPhone. My phone is a Motorola. That's a Android right?

Matt Box

There is an android version available (it has a few issues, but its playable) but unfortunately it will not be coming to iPhone due to Apple's restrictions on what apps can be installed on their devices.

StudioWhy

Will you guys be making this game for phones as well? Because I don't have a PC to play this on

Matt Box

So whens the next update coming out. A schedule Release of sorts would be good

Martin Bailey

I'll spread this around my own facebook brony groups. Hopefully, more bronies will support. :)

Mares Fillies

I can't believe I only found about this game just now. Glad to be a supporter, and you choose best pony first. :D I love you guys. XD

Mares Fillies

Maybe you will add Dragon Lord Ember in the future as a new waifu

Michał Godlewski

Zecoro might have an idea. Also you may need to figure out how to identify it.

StudioWhy

How do i find fungus foxfire, i cant find it anywhere

Venus

Any chance we’d see Alpha 5.0 before the year is up? Love the work you guys are doing, keep it up! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

Hi, Pony Waifu Sim team! This probably is not the best way to do this, but I was not sure how to get in contact with you. I would like to offer my services as a writer for the game, if you are looking. I'm a huge MLP fan, and I've been writing fiction for years and years. I've also self-published fiction and erotic stories on Amazon for about 5 years, so I am well-versed in writing in that style if that's what you need! But I can write...well, anything. I love to write, and I love MLP. I'd be thrilled to merge the two and contribute to this fantastic game. I hope you can keep me in mind even if you're not in need of a writer right now. But if you are interested, reach out to me any time. I am happy to point you to some of work or provide a sample, or anything you might need. And thank you all for working so hard on this! You can reach me at pinkieisbest5@gmail.com. Thanks!

Wolfytales

No I dont think the artist actually like working on H-scenes, its gonna be 2029 till we get a actual sex scene

Beatboxer

Will there be some x-ray shots with our ponies? Like when we give them protein shakes or creampies? 😁👍

Scrattys

When will the next update come?

Scrattys

Alright, I've emailed you all my first set of work. Thank you for the contact. I'm going to bed.

Spitting Ashes

I thought I remembered there being a button for such a thing, but I couldn't for the life of me seem to find it when I went looking for it (as I originally intended for my comment to be a DM of some sort yet was unsure as to the best platform to contact you from). I've just went looking for it again, and again I'm finding myself short for it. I'll use that email when I come back around to grabbing more information on both of those, however.

Spitting Ashes

Thank you so much for your kind words! ❤️ We all put a lot of heart and soul into this game so your comment really meant a lot to us. All of us are wholly dedicated to seeing this game through to the end. Thank you very much for the bug reports as well, and if you have any more information on them or specific typo'd words you can submit them via the feedback form in game or send an email to feedback@StudioWhy.net

Hey, just finished playing the latest release a couple days ago before heading back to work for the weekend. Wow. It feels like my expectations were just decimated. Every nook and corner of the game just oozes heart and charm. Of course I can tell that just about everything is still work in progress, but what's here so far feels sincerely considered and like a demonstration of amazing potential for the game's future. I've played a couple much earlier releases of the game, but I couldn't remember very much of it, so while I remembered the spider in the beginning, I had forgotten what I should do about it. When the second option from clicking on the mirror itself mentioned a super negative response to the spider's presence, I tried clicking on the spider itself--to a friendly response, of course, leading to me doing so repeatedly, since it was so adorable--and so I tried blatantly uncovering the mirror despite the ill sound of the second option, which was the correct answer. The more I think about it, the more interesting that intro 'puzzle' seems to me; I get a feeling of being told 'the answer's not always what you expect' from poking the spider-bro, and I get the feeling I'm being told 'taking risks is a good idea' - which are both particularly important lessons to drop right in the very beginning of the game. (I also have to wonder if the spider's back design is supposed to be a Skulltula reference...) From there, to avoid spoilers, I'll just mention some of the high points I felt from just experiencing the game: These feel like incredibly solid interpretations of the characters they represent, and each of the meet'n'greet activities for them really feels like the sort of thing they'd normally be doing. So much of everything just felt organic, with a natural flow I really didn't expect, such as the way 'dates' are incorporated in the form of simple offers from Purple Smart. The writing itself really is a treat--amongst all the tiny little quirks that made me smile, the descriptions for the library books and their on-read excerpts are flavorful examples (not to mention what Purple herself has to say about them). Oh, and everything leading up to the spray bottle. Those expressions--those lines--were just perfect, as was the surprise of the bottle itself. Between the little tweaks to Purple's lines and the range of Blue's reactions from her minigame, it honestly does feel like my choices are more than just throwaway clicks for alternate dialogue. (P.S.: I did NOT expect the whistle... Or the zipping 'balloon' animation.) Purple herself was simply a joy to interact with. Even with some of the relatively obvious beats, I still found they were interestingly written into, and the way Purple herself flows fluidly between sciencing-out and being in the moment was just awesome to experience. (BIG props for that interruptive cut to the telescope...it made my day to see that included.) If I'm correct on picking up the main plot's construction from subtle(ish) background story beats and the L/H characterization points of Purple, the game's explicit nature is woven into its core in such a way that really justifies its inclusion in everything I've seen so far, especially compared to its shoehorning in other common attempts at the explicit simdate genre. (Also: "Hold, man, hold!") I feel like it's pretty clear you guys are constantly working on optimization; this is the first time I've seen Dream Horse's opening animation play out in a normal speed at 1280x1024 native rez, and she looks gorgeous. (The little twinkles!) The rest of the game looks really pretty, too. Not only does the simplistic art style feel completely fitting, but also the way the art plays with perspective is cool; when Purple sits down on the bench, it really did jump through my mind, "Whoa, she really is _right_ next to us." I still remembered the progression on Applesack's tail moving, of course, but Ponka's close-up was definitely new to me, at which point I'd like to point out the neat way the artstyle adjusts in detail depending on the player's distance to a given character. What we've seen so far of the world design is nailing it. As someone who found a crystal castle jutting up from the edge of a rural villa to be an ugly sore thumb, I absolutely adore the compromise design of Purple's castle, and I'm always a sucker for the use of lightstones/glowing crystal, especially as the little alcove lanterns. Giving Blue a little ground-bound stand for selling memorabilia about her favorite thing (and herself) feels like an organic way to give the character access to her, too, and it was a pleasant surprise to see the relevant environment change ever so slightly after our work with Yellow. Did I mention a LOT of this game feels organic/organized/considered/thought-out--and just how important that is? I could honestly go on and on about all the itty-bitty bits that I had fun with--such as seeing how fast I could possibly ring the oven bell--because it really is the little things that matter. (Squeaky bat!) TL;DR: The game is fun, the game looks good, and the writing is on point. I've probably forgotten a few things, but I hope I got down most of what stood out the brightest to me. Maybe it's just that I don't often look into this particular game genre, so I apologize if I've overstated on things that would be considered baseline for the quality of this kind of work. If I had to pick a few complaints, it would probably be things that haven't gotten much attention yet, such as the art piece used when Blue Fast flies over to grab her first box (I think it's something about the flanks/rear legs, but I'm not fully certain) or the general lack of audio elements in the game, though what's here so far does sound good. There's also the fair share of typos, but since the English is good, that's nothing a good proofreading can't fix. For bugs, I know someone else has already mentioned the name-reverting glitch (big one when Anon pops in to try helping Applesack), and in my personal playthrough I had issues with Charity acting as though her ornament had been removed even if it was still available; additionally, said ornament was not removed from the player's inventory if offered to her on prompt under alternate circumstances. I can specifically recall Charity having prompts/dialogue based on the ornament being available in a previous update, however I do not know if this was intentionally pulled from the game. Also, Yellow Quiet has a tendency to clone herself if the player reloads the game to the primary slew of options for her task from the same room. As a final note, I just want to say "Thank you!" for all the hard work. Your dedication to these characters is shining brilliantly, and I'm really hopeful for the future of this game. I'm glad to see the clear monetary support it's getting despite the feeling of a lukewarm reception from most of the comment sections I've seen. I'll admit I do have my own trepidations about the future of the game as well, but I'm also willing to believe in the potential of what we've been shown so far. So... Thank you.

Spitting Ashes

Been a while since we had an update, it's good to see some motion on this. @ me when the not-Rare-purple-hair route is up.
