Disappointed with the choice of Ariana Grande....I liked her at first, but I just don't dig her sound anymore, and I feel like she gets more hype than is warranted. But then again, I'm not that into pop, I just enjoy your reviews lol

I love the lists. I checked out Ariana Grande’s album after watching this and although not my cup of tea I agree from you 2015-2018 reviews that she has both better pipes and more distinct personality than any other pop star right now, and now she can add angst driven writing. However it’s also sad that the first video I watched after this was Doja Cat’s Mooo! which I never knew about till this video and now is an earworm.

This is the first TITS video that hit me in the feels and made me empathize to the point of almost tearing up at the end. While it may be difficult to feel sorry for the wealthy, talented, beautiful Ariana Grande, she did have a terrible 2018. Terror attack at a concert. Death of someone close to her. Drug overdose. Relationship falling apart in public. Maybe breathin' is all you can do to get through the dark times. I love you Todd, but damn you for making me emotional at the end of your video.

I don't really have any problems with this list. But it really breaks my heart that Janelle Monae wasn't able to break the top 50 with any of her songs off of Dirty Computer. Legit my favorite album of the year.

This is the first year that I don't like a single song on the top 10 list. I think Ariana is highly overrated mainly because she still doesn't enunciate her words and it drives me insane. I would have hoped that "Middle Fingers" by Missio got just enough traction to make this list, because their entire album is better than anything else that came out in 2018 in my useless opinion.

The whole list was very enjoyable, but in particular thank you for reminding me that breathin exists. I'd heard it before, and I'd listened to a cover, but it's been a pleasure to go back and re-listen to the original. I'd forgotten about it until you started talking about anxiety, and then I immediately knew what song you were leading up to. (Incidentally I'm also in the same boat regarding anxiety; I definitely understand how you feel.)

I'm not going to mince words: this might be my favorite top 10 you've ever done. Not just because we agreed a lot on the selection, though I'd be lying if I claimed that wasn't a part of it. But the presentation of this list really made it a joy to watch. Hell, the way you filmed your segment on #2 seemed more appropriate for a #1 pick, and even after that, with how personal you got, your segment on #1 did not let down. Bravo, Todd. I know these lists take a lot out of you, and I always say they're worth it, but for this one, I especially mean it.

I'm really surprised that Feels Like Summer didn't get on here or get an honourable mention. I listened to it like a hundred times, personally. Great list otherwise, Todd. Some great recommendations in there to spruce up my playlists.

I don’t listen to a whole lot of radio so I tend to miss pop music entirely, my only real connection with it is through your videos. I usually find my favourite songs on your worst list but there’s some here I really need to check out too, including your number one. As you say here’s to another year, I hope it’s better for you and all of us.

Just wanted to say that the personal honesty in this video really connected and enhanced it. In a year where pop music mostly felt kinda numbed-out, this was a really cool reminder of how great it can be when it hits on, like, actual human experiences.
