'Blue In The Face' is an improvised sequel to 'Smoke,' with a lot of the scenes being unused footage from the original. I've seen both and the original is obviously superior. Roger Ebert called Smoke a film of small details, which is a lot of its appeal. Also Harvey Keitel and William Hurt are great in it.
