ONE HIT WONDERLAND: "MMMBop" by Hanson

This is everything I'd wanted and more! A++

Violet Esposito

When I was a young thing my mother bought me the first Hanson album. I played it to death. I weathered the decades of Hanson hate from my peers and continued to listen to and enjoy them, and keep my eye out for whenever they release new albums. They're a solid band, who write catchy tunes, and they have always had a sense of humor about their reputation which I enjoyed. They're also great to see live. At this point they have a great discography of songs and I've liked almost all of their singles. They really didn't deserve all the hate. Wrong place, wrong time, wrong mmmbop, I guess.

No kidding on that flat no. Who the hell thinks Rage Against The Machine is a One Hit Wonder? In any case, I'll have to check out Hansen's later stuff. Sounds like it's good music.

I was vaguely aware that Hanson actually had a pretty solid critical reputation these days. I'm happy to see that that's true, since their post MMMBop stuff sounds really good, at least as far as the bits in the video suggest.

The 90's aren't that bad...

Huh...well, I'm pleasantly surprised by that. I'd completely forgotten Hanson did "This time around". I remembered the song, but not who did it. Nice to see kids that got famous didn't let it go to their heads.

The Cayute

I have plans but they're not concrete yet. I will let you know when everything's solid.

Todd in the Shadows

Yeah, I don't think RATM could be considered a one hit wonder. Bulls On Parade, Bombtrack, Sleep Now In The Fire, Renegades Of Funk, Guerrilla Radio and Testify are all very well-known. Plus Killing In The Name didn't even hit the Hot 100 while Guerrilla Radio did.

The prophecy has been fulfilled. Also wondering what you were gonna do once Blip closes? I find it kinda odd you chose to put this on Blip despite its imminent closing.
