So, this month I've finally decided to confront the spectre that's been haunting me, as a human being, since the release of this episode back in 2014. Doctor Who put out a weird, seemingly anti-abortion metaphor episode, and it vexes and haunts me every single day.
Because of the subject matter, I haven't been able to put YouTube ads on this video (I might try them out later, but for now they're completely off), so I wanted to take the opportunity to say that I really, really appreciate the support of patrons right now. So honestly when I first watched this (and the only time I watched this), I was 16 and I didn’t see the abortion metaphor at all. I really didn’t like the episode, it made me really uncomfortable and I couldn’t figure out why so I skipped it any time I rewatched episodes. Now I’m looking at it as an adult and I’m like, OH.
