I don’t know if they are coming from the same place, but Jared’s concerns remind me of the apprehensions Joey had about the “popular guys” at first in chapters 1 and 2: that yes they may be pretty and nice on the outside but there’s going to be a catch or a trap waiting for them if they aren’t careful. Joey’s concerns came from past experience, so def makes me wonder if Jared is speaking from his own experience!
