Basically, the three different tile types are more different now. It'll be pretty obvious if you look around RouteA11.
I needed more environment props if I wanted to make more preset scenes (in case, say, I gave enemies home tiles) so... I still need to find a way to get the ram ending without Christmas!! Now at least I'm much closer to finishing RouteA11, the lack of environment diversity really bothered me. Let's hope this didn't break A Long Walk / previous missions.
