Roger had the hat and gave it to Shanks who gave it to Luffy. We see a young Roger in a flashback with Rayleigh with the hat around ep 523 on the way down to Fishman Island. But I like your theories :P

2021-04-07 03:30:08 +0000 UTCya when roger 1st sets out to sea with rayleigh he has his straw hat on shading his eyes and shanks always talks about how its his treasure and it was a gift from some1, i cant remember much more, ive seen the series up to episode 500 five times but all the small details eventaully fade and its been 5 yrs since the 5th time i saw episode 500 :) ive rewatched luffys fight against arlong and lucci a few more times since tho <3

It wasn't there when Robin read the one next to it being JoyBoy's Note to the Mermaid Princess. So Who has the Fishman island poneglyph.

While it is likely a coincidence, Wano used to be known as "The Country of Gold", and Oden & Roger did end up building a strong friendship. It's fun to think about it. Also, we saw Roger at some point with the Straw hat, back when he recruited Rayleigh, so I am guessing that Shanks most likely got the hat from Roger. Question is, where did Roger get the hat from in the first place ^^

In the current time Luffy already found two (The one at Zou and Big Mom’s). He hasnt found the one at Wano yet and the one on Fishman Island was missing (only the poneglyph with Joyboy’s apology was there)

2021-04-06 21:54:37 +0000 UTCJust before Stampede released Oda confirmed that “Rafuteru” was supposed to spell Laugh Tale. Its due to limitations of the Japanese writing system when spelling non Japanese words it got interpreted as Raftel by many translations for 20 years.
