Actually, if you read the manga arc again it doesn't feel long. It's quite an amazing piece of artwork and storytelling if you read it again. In the Anime it might feel long but manga was pretty good. Give it a try and read Dressrosa arc again ;)

Fun little fact: In the manga Luffy was about to enter gear 4th at the end of chapter 783, switch and first and last number and you get chapter 387, where Luffy first used gear 2nd. #GODA
