Towns within Kingdoms

Towns and cities within the kingdoms.

Its a little bit of extra work but it solves some pressing issues on game development.

It kills multiple birds so lets go through the birds killed:


- It prevents the player going from land to land straight through levels to queens each time, diversifying content


- It gives me a place to put cut-scenes/lore/interuptions that need to happen deeper story without it interrupting things like the player moving kingdoms, where they'll want to move and explore the kingdom ASAP rather than waiting through a cutscene in the way.


- Add's another area to the kingdoms to futher cement the kingdoms feeling more alive and less like a map and more like a place that has stuff going on


I toyed with the idea of having the sidequest areas becoming mandatory to stretch gameplay and make the main story feel less generic and linear. But I want the sidequest areas to stay as sidequests as they were meant to be as optional content to make the content of the game not all tied to one story.
