Final AMA Stream (for now) #60b

Hey friends,

I'll be hosting a Patreon AMA stream tomorrow, November 27 at 5pm ET. Here's the stream link, feel free to join the chat any time! I'll be answering the remaining questions from the "AMA #60" invite post.

As discussed in previous posts, this stream will be the last AMA for a while, since I will be switching to posting Patreon exclusive vlogs called "Tangents." 15+ patrons will get to vote on Tangent topics. I have some topics in mind, but feel free to suggest topics in the comments here or on the stream!

The stream will remain archived here for those who miss it live.

Looking forward to chatting!

Love,

Natalie

P.S. Here's the link to the stream again in case the one above isn't working: https://youtu.be/uOVvVq4ttZA

I didn't make it through any of Jung's books.. but I would reccomend 'The Wisdom of the Enneagram'. I think you would find it interesting and would be very interested in your thoughts on the enneagram system.

You probs wont see this but in case you do i have a music recommendation, 2 songs with great MV's :] 1) Kalandra - Virkelighetens Etterklang [nordic alt pop/folk] 2) Kælan Mikla - Sólstöður (dark wave and nordic alt pop).

Hi Natalie! Joined the Patreon for the tangents and they have not disappointed :) Love getting to hear your thoughts on quicker, more specific topics. Was wondering if you’d ever consider doing a tangent on the connection between trans women and electronic music. Wendy Carlos, Sophie, Honey Dijon, DJ Sprinkles, Eris Drew & Octo Octa, etc. Trans women have been at the forefront of electronic music since it’s inception. Would love to hear your thoughts on why you think that connection persists.

On Tár, I haven't actually seen the film, but I'm surprised you thought the filmmakers want you to "take her side". I got the impression that she's a kind of parody from the review I listened to (https://maximumfun.org/episodes/maximum-film/episode-284-tar-with-matt-rogers/).

I've only just become a patron and wanted to say that I'm really enjoying having access to the back catalogue of these streams. I work from home and it can be very de-motivating and isolating; these streams are a wonderful, maybe because more passive, kind of entertainment that's really lifting my spirits. I also want to stress how enjoyable it is to hear you ramble, Natalie! I think my enjoyment and sense of enrichment in observing and listening to how your mind works is the main reason that I (finally!) became a patron. (I've yet to dive into them yet, but that makes me excited for the outtakes videos!) At the same time, I'm really looking forward to your tangents (I've only listened to the LGBT Bills one so far!), but look forward to immersing myself singularly in those outside of work. I really like to show up to those with my full attention, cup of tea and biscuit, maybe even to take notes. Big love and happy creating. <3

if you’re still on the lookout for baltimore music friends, i may refer you to my older sister

My experience was similar to samantha. I didn't really know about being trans until I watch gender dysphoria. That hit me pretty hard. still took me 4ish years to fully understand and accept why, but here i am almost 1 year into transition & hoping to start HRT soon. I'm finally being me and I'm not going back. <3
