Dev Blog #19: Prep time for Shred & Tear little Sandbox Mode! - Lucid Studio

Hi guys, it's Lucid and I'm back with another episode with It's that saucy time of the month! The 2024 subscription has only started for 1 month and I already want to refund! But well, all things are hard before they are easy, right? I was super busy with the bar and PDD is all out for Lucid Studio. And let's dive right in!

Q: PDD! How are things cooking up?

A: Lucid, my girls for Shred&Tear, you guess? I was in the kitchen marinating Lucid Studio Sandbox mode for S&T (and I have been for the whole month). But I'm ready for our little catch up, let's gooooooo!

PDD: Yes, people has been excitedly looking at your debut on New Year's Eve, Lucid-chan. You're bringing the freshest of Green to the palette! PDD: It is steaming hot right now, let me tell you~, let go bit by bit shall we? Buckle up for the grand tour of Lucid Studio, where Kajun-chan and I will be your guides! Our first stop? The Shower section, where you can indulge in some sudsy fun. Ever tried your hand at a minigame where the aim is to rub bubbles as fast as possible? It's quite the challenge, and I might just nickname it a quickie! 🚿💦 You can hop in and see how fast those hands can move! Of course some more "naughty" moves will be added in the up-coming times ! 

What do you mean by q-quickie? Quick like 45 Seconds quick?

Q: Rather than that, Kajun is definitely a mecha girl, her machines and parts will fall apart after all those bloody battles, where does she do all of that maintenance activity?

PDD: Good question! Actually, I have some ideas brewing right now. But first up, let's see the difference it makes when Kajun isn't giving us the death stare. Trust me, it's a whole new world!

Alright, let's dive into the first idea. Kajun will jog, getting her muscles warm, and we'll have to help her with the "charging", by pressing buttons at the fastest speed possible. She'll get her energy from here to join those fights later!

Then this second idea, where Kajun can kick back and relax for once, While we are aiming at the same task! She is totally in need of a hand or two *if you know you know*

Q: Okay what about other "features"?

PDD: Okay, let's dive deeper into the wonders hehe. So, apart from jamming out to the OST, which by the way, totally sets the mood, Kajun can also marvel at the 3D models up close and personal. It's like getting a backstage pass to the Shred & Tear world! 🎵🦈 And have you seen Squalomon? It's like they walked straight out of a sci-fi flick!

Plus, some of you might actually do nothing and just hovering the camera around so I've added a little extra jiggle to her walk. Enjoying the view? 😏

PDD, When did i give you the permissionnnnnnnn? Do you know how annoying it feel when you walk with all these jiggling?

Q: Alrighty PDD, I think everyone might forget about Kajun's little companion at this point, where is he?

PDD: Ah, Gnochi! The little alien tentacle fellow. Can't believe they almost slipped their minds about it. Let me regale you with the tale of this tentacky little fellow once more. So, Gnochi started as a member of the TEABAG army, but soon saw the light and joined the noble cause of the resistance force - GCUP (Guerrilla Comrades & Unification Partisan) and freed Kajun from Tentamon Overlord mind-control influence, following her every move, even here in Lucid Studio. And let me tell you, Gnochi's got a mischievous streak! Always stirring up "trouble" for Kajun-chan. But hey, what's a little chaos between best of friends, right? But don't get it wrong, Gnochi means no harm to her, they are bonded together in a "special way", that's why they become companions!

Q: I even heard around the bar that Shark Girl is throwing such attitude after being defeated by Kajun-chan huh? that's funny cause she is kinda reckless?

PDD: Alright, gather 'round for some tea time! Let me dish out the details. When it comes to Sharkie, Kajun was anything but gentle! 🦈 Once they step into the ring, rage & temper get the best of them. And let me tell you, even a fierce shark can find itself on the losing end when facing off against a giant crayfish! 🦞 My idea is that Shark-chan can be all super-aggressive & lighting fast of a tiger-shark, but Kajun-chan got the thickness, the true strength!And Gnochi, that naughty thing would want to mess with Shark-chan too haha, typical Gnochi!

Q: Oh hey Kajun, I heard you do some practice combat with the Sharks lately?

You bet! I don't practice, I slay them all the time!

Q: Shark-chan, My dear, when can we know your badge?

Shark Girl: It's best to keep it a secret for now, I love a good surprise hehe *smack*, PDD has opened some official poll on Twitter for voting of my preferable name, but doesnt seem like he got it finalized yet. If I dont like it, I will bite so.... let him take his time.
