A little bit of context here, バニーの日 (Banī no Hi) refers to Bunny Day, when people post images, cosplay photos, gravure etc. with bunny suits. It originated in Japan back in 2008, since then this day has become an annual online celebration.
The reason for this day being associated with bunny is due to "バニー", which are the Japanese words for "Bunny". It is a play on words since "バニー" basically reads the numbers of the dates of August 2nd (バ being 8 and ニー being 2)
