2025-10-18 00:19:34 +0000 UTCI appreciate that Hawkeye calls it cruel to hide the death of Hughes from the Elric brothers. It's not like Hughes will return if the boys keep pretending that he's alive, and it will hurt just as much if not more once they do eventually find out. I'd go so far as to call it selfish to not tell the boys what happened, because whoever tells them is going to have to be responsible for the Elric brothers actions and be the first one to help them through it. So by refusing to be there for the brothers it just causes more pain and forces someone who might know them less (which is basically what happened here) to be the one to have that responsibility.
