Yeah honestly I was so mad at Zuko after the end of book 2 😭 I couldn’t understand why he’d do that after everything that happened. But now I think I get it. Even if the right choice was right in front of him, he wouldn’t have been at peace until he realized it himself. He had to come to that conclusion on his own.

And while I agree his character arc is frustrating I'm glad you saw the writers HAD to make it frustrating. It's the only way to do justice to the pretty deep and personal issues being discussed.
