✨Movies Suggestions

Soo I’ve been thinking a lot lately, and I really want to start expanding the kind of content I react to and review! Right now, it’s mostly anime (which I LOVE ofc), but I’m super curious about diving into other stuff too, like movies! (/≧▽≦)/

Here’s the thing though… I have zero movie experience LOL 😭
The only two movies I’ve ever watched are:

I was never really a fan of movies, so yeah… I’m basically a blank slate when it comes to them. 😅
If you have any recommendations for movies you think I should react to and review, please drop them below! I’m open to exploring new stuff, just no horror please 😭

I'm excited for this and a little nervous lol, trying new things is always nerve wracking 😂

Thank you so much for the support and helping me branch out and try new things~
Let’s have tons of fun this month together!! (〃 ̄︶ ̄)人( ̄︶ ̄〃)💕

Using Czech transcription is good, but not for people, who do not understand the language.

Thought up a few more different movies, there's "Coraline" which is kind of horror adjacent but it's more kid friendly horror done in stop motion. In regards to stop motion, there's "Kubo and the Two Strings" which is a stunning movie set in feudal Japan and was nominated for 2 Academy Awards for Best Animated Feature and Best Visual Effects but lost out to 2 Disney movies. Speaking of I guess I would also suggest the Disney film that won that award "Zootopia" ("Zootropolis" or "Zoomania" depending where in the world you are) which is still a good film (but, personally, I still prefer Kubo). Then there's a few Wes Anderson movies, such as "The Fantastic Mr. Fox" and "Isle of Dogs" he has a very unique directing style that you will either love or hate, but considering how many awards he's won he's doing something right. Can't go wrong with a bit of Quentin Tarantino either, "Pulp Fiction" is a classic, "Kill Bill" is amazing and "Django Unchained" is superb. Another Christmas classic that is a must watch is of course "Die Hard", I think that's probably enough from me for the moment though. So I'll just have to sign off with a "Yippee Ki Yay Mother F***er!" Edit: Oh and "Fight Club" which is one of the greats. There's still so much to reccommend from the last century's worth of films from all around the world but I feel like we need to stop somewhere. ... Oh crap now I feel like I need to recommend some martial arts movies like Bruce Lee's "Enter the Dragon", Jackie Chan's "Drunken Master 2" or the "Rush Hour" trilogy, or even something like "Kung Fu Hustle"... Sorry I'll stop now, I'll try to close a lid on this Pandora's Box of movie recommendations. Edit 2: Oh f**k, "Labyrinth", Last one I promise.

I'll give some fun suggestions, that hopefully aren't too intense! Naked Gun - great series of comedies, not raunchy or anything, just incredibly clever and funny. A classic bumbling idiot on the Police Squad! Bullet Train - Newer comedy that I felt is just a dumb, fun watch! Basically a bunch of different hitmen end up on a single train with similar goals and keep bumping into each other. Avatar - Simple and cliche plotline with incredible visuals and solid world building. Not too intense of a film, nor is it extremely complex. Just spectacle and story. People become Vtubers by controlling their own alien bodies! Saw a suggestion for Emperor's New Groove! Absolutely second this, amazingly fun film! Men in Black - A fun action film about aliens on Earth working in a sort of FBI type group. Pretty funny too! Gremlins - Might be cheating here, it is technically a "horror comedy" I think, but it just isn't scary at all, just unhinged fun! Cute creatures with very specific rules to care for them. Break the rules and they becomes crazy critters of chaos.

I might suggest "Road to El Dorado" which is a lot of fun or "Emperor's New Groove" one by Dreamworks and one by Disney when they were directly in competition with each other. For Ghibli movies I would suggest starting with "Spirited Away", "My Neighbour Totoro" and "Princess Mononoke", but there are a ton of stunning films made by that studio so you might as well watch them all. If you're looking for some fun dumb B-movies there's "The Room", a truely wonderful awful movie which is written, directed, produced by and starring this bizarre enigma of a man called "Tommy Wiseau" but if you watch that you need to watch "The Disaster Artist" which is a professionally made film based on the book about the creation of this uniquely awful masterpiece. "Roboshark" I guess is technically horror in the loosest sense of the term considering how terrible the effects are and the absurdity of the story. There's also "Llamagheddon" as well, I haven't watched it but it seems ridiculous enough for a watch. The Lord of the Rings Trilogy is generally a must watch (Don't watch any of Peter Jackson's earlier movies though, you will be scarred for life), along with the original Star Wars Trilogy (4,5 and 6 (Although I hear it actually ends up being a better watch if you watch that series in a weird order like 1, 2, 4, 5, 3 then 6 or something like that, I wouldn't know for sure as I basically didn't have that choice because I'm an old fart)) and the Matrix Trilogy. Indiana Jones movies, ET, The Goonies, Home Alone are all classics (Home Alone is a christmas must watch). The Spider man Movies starting from the 2000s trilogy, then the Amazing Spiderman 1 and 2, you could watch some of the newer ones from the MCU, but you'd have to watch the entire MCU to fully understand what's going on. Although with "Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse" and "Across the Spiderverse" you won't need all the prep and they are absolutely stunning movies. The Cornetto Trilogy ("Shaun of the Dead", "Hot Fuzz" and "The Worlds End") are great British comedic films. You could also look into some Wallace and Gromit episodes/ movies for some stop motion goodness. It's a shame you're entirely against horror movies because there's this film called "Cabin in the Woods" which is a great horror film that parodies the horror genre amazingly. I have a ton more recommendations but I think that should do for starters.

Easy Phil

would 'Shaun of the dead' count as a horror movie? it more of comedy. If that no good, then 'a dog purpose'.

Kurato Wakiru

Cloud Atlas! Way better movie than its given credit for. Otherwise why not hit up some of the older anime greats like Ghost in the Shell, Akira, Metropolis, Paprika, Tokyo Godfathers, etc.

Kyle King

I'm too scared lol 😂😭 when I used to stream, I thought to try MiSide (a horror game) I had to end the stream too early because I couldn't handle it lol
