This lock doesn't have a key and can be opened freely by anyone who believes it's unlocked. As long as a creature thinks that the lock is locked, or is unsure whether or not it's locked, it refuses to open for that creature. No lockpick can open the lock (the inside is entirely smooth), although a knock spell causes the lock to pull apart and open (despite not actually being locked). A successful DC 20 Intelligence (Arcana) check or identify spell reveals the nature of the lock. A creature whose thoughts can't be read or who can't be communicated with telepathically against its will can always open the lock.
No matter the traps you set, no matter the wards you cast, at the end of the day, you'll only ever be as secure as you can make them think you are.
