Heroic Ideas — Choose 2 community item ideas to be made!

Each week on Discord, community members nominate other members' suggested items to be made into official Saddlebag items. The top two most voted-for item ideas each week get made, following back and forth workshopping and discussion.

Here are the randomly selected item ideas drawn from this week's nominations!

Ideas

1) Shellback Wagon — This carved wooden turtle can be turned into a turtle-shaped wagon that can fit 8 Medium creatures. The wagon will move autonomously, happy to get its passengers to their destination slowly and safely.

2) Primal Wayfinder — This brass compass is enchanted to seek out elemental phenomena, be them fire, water, earth, or air. After selecting an element, the compass will point to the nearest source within 5 miles. For example, it can direct you to the nearest source of fresh, potable water, the nearest mouth of a cave, or the nearest maintained fire.

3) Hide of the Minotaur — This armor was won from a fearsome creature in an underground labyrinth. While wearing the armor you can perfectly retrace the steps you've taken in the last hour and you can knock a creature prone when you hit them with a melee attack after rushing towards them. In addition, you can cast the locate creature spell and be able find the quickest path to them, as if by the find the path spell.

4) Surface Seeker — A Small, magical minecart with a lamp on its front. When you fill it with valuables while in a cave, it makes a slow trek to the surface of the cave, showing you the safest route to travel.

5) Submerged Reins — This heavy necklace is made from thick seaweed with small water lilies blooming around the edges, granting you water breathing while wearing it. You can cast the find steed spell, summoning a white warhorse who's mane is made of seaweed, can run across any water surface, breathes water and air, and has a swim speed. While mounted, you can use an action to attempt to magically drown a creature you can see.

6) Staff of the Crossroads — A quarterstaff made from a crossroads sign with four separate signs pointing in different directions. You can use charges to dictate the direction of a creatures movement, or use the staff to detect the nearest settlements or well-known landmarks.

7) Expeditionary Citadel — This massive, mobile sledge made of petrified wood is two stories tall and provides cover to those inside of it. It can be controlled by a steering mechanism at the front of the lower floor as it travels by the power of its engine. Alternatively, a creature that is strong enough to pull it can do so while the engine recharges.
