I finally got time to do some fixing, improvments and other code love to my favorite Rimworld mod: Zombieland.
While being at it, I also added two new game mechanics:
Zombie Stumper
Thats a new building that allows you to attract zombies. Well, why would one do that I hear you ask? To divert and control zombies of course. Away from your base or entrance. Oh, and did I mention that it prevents insects from spawning? Well, there you go.

After another year of exciting feedback from the community, I am proud to announce Harmony 2.2.
Nowadays, Harmony powers an impressive number of games and is the basis of many mod loaders and sub projects like HarmonyX. By that, it still proofs to be the best solution to modify games and applications at runtime.
It's now more compatible with the ever growing ecosystem of .NET and compatible with up to .NET 5.

The final Harmony 2.0 release is getting closer. After many fixed Issues and outstanding feature requests, the only thing that needs to be completed is the documentation.
The API has been revamped to separate the public and private parts and with the help of docfx and github pages, a new documentation website is slowing forming.

Today is the day. I have released Harmony v1.1. It was overdue.
Over the last couple of months, interest in Harmony has grown more than ever. New games like Stardust Valley or BattleTech create new communities around it and the pressure to finally release it was just too big.
So I decided to wrap it up and accept the minor problems that still persist. A complicated project like Harmony that pushes technical boundaries will never be 'perfect'. New versions will follow.

So this is cooking. The next version of Harmony is long overdue. It's a delicate piece of software, just like every larger library that has lots of dependencies.
In case of Harmony, the overall problem gets a bit more complicated. In contrast to other libs that are usually included solo in projects, Harmony is more often than not used in "mods" within a hosting application. As a result, it has to deal with multiple versions of itself and the shared state that they have.

Hi everyone, I was busy adding requested features to Zombieland. The number of configurable aspects in Zombieland grows and grows. Two of the latest additions are:
Colonists and other pawns on the map can now actively avoid zombies. I created a background calculation that allows this without slowing down the game!

After installing the mod, try loading a saved game where you have all the mods but in the wrong order or some of them not enabled correctly. A new button will appear in the warning dialog that allows you to fix the mod list. Clicking it will adjust the mod list and restart RimWorld. Now you can load the save game without any errors.
It was never so easy to switch between different save games with different mods.

Over the last few weeks, my favorite project has grown larger and more dangerous. Zombieland has over 12000 subscribers on Steam and in case you missed it was tweeted about by Tynan, the creator of RimWorld, a while ago.
This release brings infections to your colony. So not only can you enjoy 1000+ zombies on your favorite map, you now have to deal with the risk of them becoming some really dangerous and powerful zombies.
