Heroic Ideas — Choose 2 community item ideas to be made!

Each week on Discord, community members nominate other members' suggested items to be made into official Saddlebag items. The top two most voted-for item ideas each week get made, following back and forth workshopping and discussion.

Here are the randomly selected item ideas drawn from this week's nominations!

Ideas

1) Terrorformer — The head of this maul is magically reactive to various terrain. As part of an attack, you can drag the maul against the ground, causing the maul to deal extra damage of a unique type depending on the terrain.

2) The Kitchen Sink — This musket has a comically wide flared end. It can fire standard ammunition, but can also be loaded with materials at the start of the day. You can violently expel those materials as an action, blasting them in a cone to damage your foes.

3) Damp Tablet — This coin-sized tablet is wet and cool. While the tablet is on our person, you have resistance to fire damage. If dropped in an area of fire, the tablet extinguishes the flames and is destroyed. You can also attempt to dispel the casting of a fire spell by throwing the tablet at the caster.

4) Ring of Entropic Manipulation — This aged ring features a hexagonal obsidian gem. You can expend hit dice to provide the ring charges. You can spend those charges to deal additional damage on an attack, add or subtract from a d20 test, or force a creature to reroll a d20 test.

5) Scapular of the Ankylosaur — This canvas amulet is styled like thick reptilian scales. As a bonus action, you can embue yourself with dense hide, increasing your AC until the start of your next turn. As an action, you can manifest a spectral dinosaur tail, slamming it on the ground to damage and knock your foes prone.

6) Scuffle Scarf — A long, patchwork scarf interwoven with enchanted thread. While wearing it, you have increased tolerance for low temperatures. You can also send the scarf to restrain a creature near you.

7) Paranoia Portrait — This ornately framed painting is enchanted to show each viewer their deepest, darkest fear. Any creature within 15 feet that looks at the painting must makes a Wisdom saving throw. On a failure they take psychic damage and become frightened, running away and potentially attacking a nearby creature.
