Heroic Ideas — Choose 2 community item ideas to be made!

Each week on Discord, community members nominate other members' suggested items to be made into official Saddlebag items. The top two most voted-for item ideas each week get made, following back and forth workshopping and discussion.

Here are the randomly selected item ideas drawn from this week's nominations!

Ideas

1) Durheim Elite Bands — This headband focuses the mind and body. When you are reduced to 0 hit points but not killed outright, you can make a Wisdom saving throw, dropping to 1 hit point instead on a success. In addition, if a nearby ally is also wearing a durheim elite band you both gain reactions to increase AC, attack an enemy, or move.

2) Nana’s Wooden Spoon — This well-worn wooden spoon can be used to make a meal over a short rest. Creatures who eat that meal gain 1d10 temporary hit points and make their next saving throw with advantage. In addition, you can force a creature into a time out, as they are charmed to sit cross-legged, granting advantage on attacks against them.

3) Phlebotomist’s Lancette — This massive syringe is wielded like a spear. You can draw blood from creatures impaled with the syringe dealing necrotic damage, and expel that blood in a cone, dealing acid damage.

4) Meteorite Button — An amulet that causes the wearer to fall faster, taking more damage from falling. You can pin it to another creature with a grapple check.

5) Tincture of the Inedible — This inky potion makes tastes and smells of burning tar. After drinking it, you are suffused with the taste and smell for 8 hours. During this period, creatures take damage if they bite or swallow you. When the potion wears off, you are poisoned for an hour.

6) Lily Sword — Cultivated by expert elvish gardeners, this flower has a long, razor-sharp stem that acts as a longsword with the finesse property, and a bonus to attack and damage rolls. The sword has charges that can be used to cast various plant related spells. If you reduce a creature to 0 hit points with this sword, flowers sprout around it after 1 hour.

7) Geomancer's Lithograph — This stone tablet can be used as a spellbook, and features shifting glyphs and sigils. The book contains spells like flesh to stone, stone shape, and wall of stone. As a reaction, you can create a barrier of earth to reduce the damage of an attack against you or an ally. You can also create earthen armor, granting yourself temporary hit points and resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage.
