This kettle is eight inches in diameter, five inches tall, and weighs 1 pound. When filled with water, the kettle begins to rumble and swirl; a 10-foot-radius sphere of fog is then emitted from the kettle's spout after 1 minute. The fog lightly obscures the area, or heavily obscures it if the kettle has gone unmoved for 1 or more rounds. The sphere of fog spreads around corners. The kettle also releases a faint whistle while emitting fog, which can be heard by any creature within 30 feet of it.

The kettle continues to produce fog for 1 minute. The effect ends early if the water is poured from the kettle or if its lid is opened. Once the effect ends, the kettle ceases to be magical for 1 hour—you must then replace any of its remaining water to cause it to rumble and swirl again.
