Alternate Thumbnails For Demon Lord/ The Conjuring

When first making The Hero Series, I didn’t have a clear vision of the Demon Lord character at the time. In fact, I never planned on that being a series, but I enjoyed those videos so much I kept making them! But even as I continued to make them, and eventually branched out with Elf Assassin and Elf Barmaid, The Demon Lord continued to remain a blank slate in my mind.

At least, until last August. I had originally wanted to do a 2b cosplay video, but when I tried on the dress, it’s like a spark went off and I thought to myself, “This is The Demon Lord lol.”

Part of the challenge of making her into a proper character is that The Demon Lord has always been a somewhat existential threat for The Hero. Based on the situation, the Demon Lord can represent the unknown, uncertainty, and inner turmoil of the Hero. The Hero series can fluctuate in tone from being extremely silly to introspective and sometimes a little dreamy! So it was difficult for me to pin down what kind of character The Demon Lord should be.

If I were to portray The Demon Lord, she would have to be larger than life! So I did a pivot from a serious role play and leaned into the absurdity of what a Demon Lord could be. The Demon Lord is QUEEN, so she should act like it! I surrounded her with minions and had her cracking jokes and having a good time! I’ll definitely bring her back as she’s an incredibly fun character to play!

The Conjuring video was based on the scene in the first movie where Ed and Lorraine are called to assess a family’s haunted house. Lorraine has the ability to detect and see spirits, which makes her an especially potent ghost hunter. To the common man, though, she probably looks a little crazy when she’s twitching all over the place as her powers kick in!

Although the franchise is known for its jump scares and horrific story’s, Lorraine herself is an extremely calm, down to earth character, which made her a really good channel for an ASMR video. She has a naturally calming and motherly presence (considering she’s a mother herself) so although ghostly whispers could occasionally be heard in the video, I don’t think it was that scary at all. The goal was to make it some good ol’ fashioned ASMR!

Anyway, I have a new video I’m going to be putting out very soon for ya’ll to see, so look forward to that!

P.S. I do have alternate thumbnails for Demon Lord but they’re refusing to post ya’ll, either here or YouTube! I’m starting to think the Demon Lord has too much power!!!
