Alternate Thumbnails for Late Night Talk Show Host/The Nun

This is a concept I've wanted to do since I saw "Late Night With The Devil." I changed it up from the movie though and made The Late Night Talk Show Host the Devil in this case. Whether she's the actual devil or "a" devil, I left up to interpretation. Every now and then I like to really push the bounds of what I consider ASMR and do something really crazy. When I make videos like this, I really want people to come away thinking "wow, I didn't know ASMR could be like that."

To give a little insight into how the plot was originally going to go, at the end of the video, The Vampire Slayer shows up to save the Conduit from having their soul taken by the devil. What I had originally planned was a direct sequel starring the Vampire Slayer, but also having footage from the devil asking the slayer personal questions and digging at the Slayer's insecurities. Basically, it was the equivalent of an ASMR boss battle. But when I was actually planning it out, I couldn't think of a way to make it work I was satisfied with. Viewers would both have to care about Goth Girl's sister as a character and would have to be intimately familiar with her Helsing familial connection. Up until this point in the story, I had been dropping subtle hints that Goth Girl and her sister were related to Van Helsing, but I came to realize you kinda have to be super blunt about it or the majority of viewers won't pick up the connection. And if you weren't familiar with all the background plot, the video itself would come off as extremely weird lol. Keep in mind, these videos are also made for new viewers!

So I reset my thinking and instead reconfigured the whole thing into a Sleepover event taking place directly after the events of the Late Night video, and I gave Slayer a starring part that addressed everything I wanted to in her original video. I came away extremely happy with the results!

In a previous Nun video, I alluded to Van Helsing and The Nun getting dinner together, and here I finally got around to making that happen. This was an extremely fun video to make! Both with Van Helsing being very much his nasty self and the Olive Garden references, this is one of my favorite videos with them together. This was also extremely unscripted, even more so than a lot of my other videos, so you're watching me in real time coming up with ridiculous things to say off the cuff! Part of the fun of this series is that I'll often set things up for future plot developments, do something completely different, and then come back to the setup while also still having things feel relatively cohesive.

By the way, just to throw this out there, that Mummy video that was released is not going to be a plot line starring Van Helsing. He was just the vehicle to get it moving. But I'll talk more about that later!
