Citlalin at the Tianquiztli

Gauze-weave transparent huipil and skirt are used in Postclassic Central Mexico. Although the combination of both garments is not seen in codices, I believe some ahuiani may have worn it that way to seduce customers. Citlalin's attires are primarily based on Codex Tudela, Codex Azcatitlan, and Primeros Memoriales.
The Great Temple of Tlatelolco consisted of twin temples for Huitzilopochtli and Tlaloc, just like the neighboring city of Tenochtitlan. According to Motolinia, an early friar who visited and climbed the Great Temple, this building was several steps taller than that of Tenochtitlan. The market of Tlatelolco was directly behind this main temple. In the background, the temple of Ehecatl with a conical straw roof is visible.
