I noticed that it might be a little challenging for some newcomers to run those VR experiences. So here's a quick run down.
Requirements:
VR capable PC
VR headset
Have either Virtual Desktop, Meta Quest Link (for Quest devices) or SteamVR installed and up to date.
Have your headset connected to either, Virtual Desktop, Meta Quest Link or SteamVR so that you can see the "Home World" (in case of Quest Link and SteamVR) or your PCs screen from the headset in case of Virtual Desktop.
Instructions to run the game:
Step 1: Click on download link and download Native.zip
Step 2: Unzip/Extract Native.zip content
Step 3: Navigate into the content and run the application (highlighted app in screenshot_1)
Step 4 (optional): For some of you, especially those that don't run on Virtual Desktop, the game might not have managed to connect to the headset. This could be because:
One: You haven't enabled your VR soft (Meta Quest Link or SteamVR) as a Default OpenXR Runtime.
Two: You haven't whitelisted "Unknown Applications" in your VR soft
Look at Screenshot_2 for Meta Quest Link and Screenshot_3 for SteamVR to see where to find those options. Of course navigate to settings first.
Step 5 (optional): Restart the App and try again.
Notes:
Virtual Desktop - I believe this one only applies to standalone headsets that want to connect to the PC wirelessly. Generally, devices like Meta Quests or Pico could use it. Though, it's a paid software.
Meta Quest Link - Free option for any Quest, and Oculus devices. Can be used both wirelessly and via direct link.
SteamVR - Anything other than Quest or Oculus that's not a standalone. Only direct link.
