No release this week π (small teaser for big project)
Added 2025-05-05 03:07:57 +0000 UTCI'm working on something BIG but have underestimated how long it would take me to render something for this week and I didn't make it on time. I guess a one week break once in a while isn't the end of the world.
Now, I guess it's time to tease the thing I'm working on.
As you might or might not have already noticed I prefer animations that are smooth. I find it hard to articulate exactly what I'm looking for when choosing what to convert but the general gist is that the movements need to feel natural and life like. A lot of those natural looking animations are quite long and even though I've always wanted to convert some of them to volumetrics the constraint of having to release weekly left almost no juice in my computers to render something longer than 10-15 seconds. That is until I bought another PC not too long ago and have some extra juice.
One of the animators I really like is NuttyCravat. He has longer but really smooth and expressive animations and I'm a big fan of his work. So I've decided to finally tackle one of his animations and am currently working on a Juno one (Link). Note that this animation is 1:06 min long!!! So I've been rendering it over the past almost month little by little and I'm almost nearing the end. However, don't expect it to come in at least another 3 weeks. That's all I can say for now, look forward to it π
