I’ve decided to start dating each practice. I can look back and see where I was physically, mentally and emotionally this way. It’s my version of keeping a diary. Each practice session is different depending on these factors. Each time I dance to the music I find new challenges and celebrations. This session my body was allowing for more playful movements.
As I’m refining my diet exercise and stretching things are feeling more smooth. My sister Annie “the bone witch”, told me something that helps me greatly. She said that in order for a stretch to really take hold and be more permanent I need to hold it for 5 minutes if possible. Some I can only hold for 3 minutes right now but I see a HUGE difference! I’m feeling much more freedom of movement today. I’m not sure if posting each practice is useful for you but it does help hold me accountable to maintain a regular routine so I’m going to keep doing this for a while.
